Blizzard Bags put on shelf
When snow leads to school cancellations this winter, ConVal students won’t have to go reaching for their blizzard bags.
Last winter, the district started a program where students would work from home to complete a prepared assignment on snow days. If enough students participated, the district would receive credit from the state for a day of instruction.
“There were some technological issues,” School Superintendent Brendan Minnihan said last week. “Families with multiple kids had problems, even if they had good Internet access.”
Minnihan said administrators will be looking at alternative ways to avoid having to make up school days at the end of the year.
