Archery class begins Jan. 10

The Peterborough Recreation Department is offering Olympic-style target archery at the Peterborough Community Center beginning Jan. 10.

The class is for anyone ages 8 and older, and will be taught by Lucy Morris of the New England School of Archery.

Two levels of classes will be offered: beginner and intermediate. Beginners will meet from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and intermediates from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. on Fridays from Jan. 10 through Feb. 7.

Form and safety will be emphasized along with more advanced skills. Participants will play games, learn about scoring and target balloons.

The fee on or before Jan. 3 is $70 for Peterborough residents and $80 for nonresidents; and after Jan. 3, $80 for residents and $90 for nonresidents. Supplies are included.
