Vote yes on No. 5 in Antrim
To the editor:
Here we are again, Antrim residents, voting on yet another wind ordinance. The first two which were soundly defeated were so restrictive that no wind facility could ever be built in Antrim. We now finally have a reasonable ordinance, which the people who wrote the first two are saying, is not strict enough. There has been a lot of misinformation going around. This ordinance will work together with the Department of Environmental Services and Antrim’s existing major site review plan process. Also spelled out in the ordinance are the standards protecting public health and safety, that are used today on wind farms in New Hampshire. We all know that we need clean renewable energy.
I urge you to vote Yes on Amendment No. 5 today, March 11.
