ConVal middle school team seeks players
ConVal is proud to announce its inaugural season in the Granite State Football League for Middle School Football. The team is open to select 6th-graders and all 7th- and 8th-graders. The team will be coached by John Reitnauer (former head ConVal Varsity football coach and most recently an assistant football coach at Franklin Pierce University) and assisted by Kevin Carne.
Practices are Aug. 20, 21, 22 and 23 from 8-10 a.m., Aug. 25 from 3-5 p.m. and Aug. 26, 27, 28 and 29 from 3-4:10 p.m. All practices are held at the High School Athletic Complex. The first game is on Aug. 30 vs Concord at 9 a.m. at ConVal’s Stadium Field.
An organizational meeting will be held on Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. in the ConVal Gymnasium for all interested parents and players. There is no participation fee to play for the ConVal middle school team. In order to play, each middle-schooler must have a “Golden Ticket.” To obtain a ticket, follow the steps online at www.convalathletics.org and follow the links under Athlete Forms for middle school football. Aug. 19 at 4:30 p.m. is the time and date for all parents and their middle school athletes to get their Golden Ticket from the Athletic Office. ImPact testing will be provided at this time as well in Room 652 of the Wellness Wing next to the Athletic Dept. offices for those athletes who were not tested last year. All steps to obtaining a golden ticket are online at www.convalathletics.org, under the Athlete Forms section. No player can practice without a Golden Ticket.
