Tuesday, July 16
Dog missing: At 3:57 p.m., an Old Dublin Road resident reported her Scottish Terrier had been missing for two hours.
Wednesday, July 17
Illegal dumping: At 12:49 p.m., an employee of Hubert’s reported finding trash in the business’ dumpster belonging to a Granite Street resident. The employee called the resident and asked him to remove the trash, which he did.
Motor vehicle complaint: At 5:54 p.m., A Dublin resident reported being in the Shaw’s parking lot 20 minutes earlier and observed a woman yelling at her children and pouring Bud Light beer into a paper cup. The Dublin resident told the woman it is against the law to drink and drive and was told to mind her own business. Police attempted to locate the driver in question, but had no luck.
Thursday, July 18
Motor vehicle accident: At 8:57 a.m., police responded to a an accident on Jaffrey Road. A 2006 Ford Escape, operated by Robert Griffitt, 39, of Jaffrey, was northbound on Jaffrey Road near Agway when he stopped in traffic for another northbound vehicle to turn left. His vehicle was rear-ended by a 1988 Ford Mustang, operated by Weltha Barker, 68, of Jaffrey, police said. There were no injuries. The Mustang was towed from the scene.
Theft: At 6:08 p.m., an Elm Street resident reported a cement dog was taken from her front yard sometime between the night before and that afternoon. The lawn ornament was wearing a t-shirt with the words beer, bass and cigars, and a camo fishing type hat.
Friday, July 19
Disturbance/arrest: At 1:50 a.m., a resident of Rockbrook Apartments on Union Street reported another resident was smoking marijuana in front of his apartment. She confronted him and got into an altercation in which both parties were pushing each other. When police arrived at 2:05 a.m., Francis Savoie, 49, of Peterborough was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Aug. 5.
