Peterborough Police log: March 20, 2014
Friday, Feb. 28
Arrest: At 5:44 a.m., police went to Riverview Apartments to assist ambulance workers with an allegedly intoxicated woman who was sick. Police arrested Brenda Gagne, 19, of Milford and charged her with internal possession of alcohol. She was released to her mother on $1,000 personal recognizance with a March 31 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey. Police also arrested Zachery Delano, 20, of Peterborough and charged him with internal possession of alcohol. He was released to his father on $1,000.00 personal recognizance with a March 31 court date.
Accident: At 3:47 p.m., Helen Lamb, 63, of Troy was driving southbound on Jaffrey Road near the town line when she hit a patch of ice, losing control of her 2005 Ford Explorer. The vehicle hit the guardrail, damaging the right side and both front tires. Ambulance workers treated Lamb for a minor cut or scratch on one of her hands. The vehicle was towed.
Accident: At 3:55 p.m., Donna Lapointe, 51, of Jaffrey was pulling a 2007 Dodge Durango out of a parking space in the N.H. Ball Bearings parking lot when she hit a parked 2004 Pontiac Grand Am owned by Danece Covey, 46, of Rindge. The Grand Am had moderate damage to the front bumper and drivers-side front fender and the Durango had minor damage to the passenger rear quarter panel. Both vehicles were driven away. No one was injured.
Accident: At 6:31 p.m., a 2012 BMW Cooper driven by Peter Blais, 34, of Concord hit a pedestrian on Route 202 near South Meadow School. The pedestrian, Michael Dugrenier, 51, of Antrim, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car was towed, and the accident is under investigation by Peterborough Police.
Saturday, March 1
Accident: At 3:50 p.m., a 1994 Honda Accord driven by Matthew Wilber, 20, of Peterborough ran into the back of a 2007 Honda Fit driven by Kathryn Johnson, 24, of Washington, after Johnson slowed down on Granite Street for traffic entering from Pine Street. No one was injured. Johnson’s vehicle had minor paint transfer and a small scratch on the bumper; Wilber’s car was not damaged. Both vehicles were driven away. Wilber was issued a summons for failure to obtain a New Hampshire license within 60 days.
Sunday, March 2
Arrest: At 3:31 a.m., following a traffic stop on Route 101, police arrested Kristopher Antonides, 49, of Keene and charged him with possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of controlled drugs. Antonides was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a March 31 court date.
Monday, March 3
Accident: At 10:15 a.m., a 2005 Subaru Forester owned by Mary Covington, 73, of Hancock rolled into a 2011 Subaru Forester owned by Stanley Szydlo, 79, of Peterborough, while the vehicles were parked at Monadnock Community Hospital. There was some paint transfer on both vehicles and some scraping and panel damage on Szydlo’s vehicle. Both were driven away.
Accident: At 4:11 p.m., a 2007 Honda Pilot driven by Mariah McKenney, 19, of Bennington ran into the back of a 2008 Toyota Corolla driven by Evan Salmonson, 23, of Peterborough, who had stopped on Granite Street to make a right turn onto Route 101. Salmonson’s car had a scuff mark on the bumper cover; McKenney’s vehicle was not damaged.
Tuesday, March 4
Theft report: At 1:58 p.m., police were notified that money was missing from a Depot Street business.
Wednesday, March 5
Accident: At 9:16 a.m., according to police reports, Raymond Lefrancois, 67, of Jaffrey was driving a 2003 Ford Focus northbound on Grove Street when his foot slipped off the brake onto the accelerator. The Ford ran into the back of a 2011 Subaru Outback driven by Lisa Clark, 54, of Jaffrey who was stopped on Grove Street at the Main Street stop sign. The Ford also sideswiped a parked 2009 Toyota Rav4 owned by Gregory Kriebel, 44, of Peterborough. No one was injured. The Ford had extensive damage to the front bumper, front fender and passenger side and was towed. The Subaru had moderate damage to the passenger rear bumper and passenger rear quarter panel. The Toyota had moderate damage to driver’s front door and driver’s front fender. The Subaru and the Toyota were both driven away.
Theft report: At 8:07 p.m., police were notified of a theft of heating oil, over a period of time, from a McCoy Road residence.
Friday, March 7
Accident: At 11:13 a.m., Einar Barenholtz, 33, of Peterborough was attempting to park on Grove Street when the passenger side of his 1997 Dodge pickup scraped the front bumper of a parked 2013 BMW owned by Jonathan Hampson, 53, of Peterborough. There was no damage to the truck, and the front bumper of the BMW was scratched.
Saturday, March 8
Accident: At 11:50 a.m., Kathy Wilson, 50, of Bennington, driving a 2009 Kia Rio, attempted to make a left turn onto Jaffrey Road from Long Hill Road. She pulled out in front of a 2010 Honda Civic driven by Alyson Ogden, 23, of Manchester which was southbound on Jaffrey Road. The vehicles collided, with both sustaining heavy damage. No one was hurt. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Arrest: At 11:47 p.m., following a traffic stop on Route 202, police arrested Meredith Seiss, 19, of Milford and charged her with driving after revocation or suspension. Seiss was processed released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a March 31 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
