Bennington police log: April 29, 2014
Monday, April 7
Disturbance: At 5:30 p.m., police responded to Bible Hill Road for a report that three juveniles were shot with BB guns by an unknown person in the area. Police spoke with the juveniles, however, no arrests have been made. At this time the incident is still under investigation.
Friday, April 11
Arrest: At 6 p.m., police arrested Roger Brissette, 46, of Bennington on an electronic bench warrant out of their agency for operating after suspension. Police on patrol on Friday saw Brissette on Main Street and, after speaking with him, Brissette turned himself in.
Saturday, April 12
Welfare check: At 12:40 a.m., police responded to an Onset Road residence on a report from a third party of a resident allegedly threatening suicide. Police investigated and found everything to be OK.
Tuesday, April 15
Damaged property: At 4:45 p.m., police received a call from a Merrill Drive resident who told police their 4-wheeler had been damaged by an unknown party. Police are still investigating.
Friday, April 18
Assist other agency: At p.m., police assisted Antrim police with an intoxicated subject outside of Rick and Diane’s Pizza on Main Street.
Saturday, April 19
Arrest: At 2:30 a.m., police arrested Stephen Whitney, 21, of Bennington on North Bennington Road and charged him with DWI. During a conversation, police had detected an odor of alcohol and observed signs of impairment. Whitney was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of May 8 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
