Antrim police log: Aug. 27, 2013


Tuesday, Aug. 6

Theft: At 9 a.m., a woman went to the police station to report money stolen from her vehicle parked at her residence. The case was referred to Det. Lepine for investigation.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Harassment: At 11:35 a.m. a woman reported being harassed via Facebook.

Arrest At 3:53 p.m. Jennifer Herne, 38, of Antrim went to the police station to turn herself in on a warrant issued out of Hooksett District Court. Herne was released on $802 cash.

Thursday, Aug. 8

Arrest: At 11:47 a.m. Zachary Cote, 20, of Antrim turned himself in on a warrant issued by the Antrim Police Department, charging him with theft of lost or mislaid property. Cote was brought to the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough, for an arraignment, at which the judge set a $3,000 cash bail. Cote was held in lieu of bail at the Hillsborough House of Corrections.

Friday, Aug. 9

Motor vehicle stop: At 3:54 p.m. as a result of a stop for speeding Sha Pradhan, 23, of Springfield, Mass., was issued a must appear summons with a court date of Sept. 5 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough. Pradhan was allegedly going 88 mph in a posted 50 mph zone.

Juvenile complaint: At 4:25 p.m., dispatch was advised of several juveniles between the ages of 5 and 8 throwing pieces of tar at passing cars. Chief Steve Campbell of Bennington responded to the area since Chief Scott Lester of Antrim was assisting another police officer on a traffic stop. Campbell did not locate the juveniles.

Saturday, Aug. 10

Motor vehicle crash: At 12:12 p.m., an officer responded to a motor vehicle accident, with no reported injury, at the intersection of Craig Road and Reed Carr Road. At the scene, the officer observed a vehicle to have slipped off the roadway on northbound side of Craig Road, where it intersects Reed Carr Road. The officer was met by the operator, an Antrim juvenile, who said they swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control of the vehicle. The officer reported that speed was a factor and warned the operator about speeding dangers . A tow company removed the operator’s 1999 Lincoln Sudan from the scene.

Assist other agency: At 8:14 p.m. an officer assisted Francestown police with a two-car motor vehicle crash on Route 47 in the area of the Bennington town line. The Antrim officer assisted with traffic control as needed, and the Francestown officer arrested a man for DWI.

Sunday, Aug. 11

Assist other agency: At 8:20 a.m., a possible house fire was reported to Bennington police. An Antrim officer responded to assist Bennington, and the fire was cleared en route as a camp fire.
