Dublin’s Yankee a finalist in for awards

Yankee Magazine is a 2013 National City and Regional Magazine Awards finalist for column, and received two nominations for photography. Magazine professionals from around the country chose 148 finalists representing 35 publications in the 28-year-old City and Regional Magazine Association’s national awards competition.

“We are so honored that Yankee is a finalist for photography — not once but twice — and that Yankee is a finalist for Column for “First Light” by Jim Collins, former Yankee editor and Walpole, New Hampshire, native,” says Mel Allen, editor of Yankee Magazine.

Photographers Markham Starr (“The Last Trap Fishermen of Rhode Island”) and Peter Miller (“A Feeling for Vermonters”) are both finalists in the photography category, recognized for the ability of their images to tell a story, and for their conceptual approach to the subject.
