Support helped cope with loss
To the editor:
On Feb. 6, my daughter, Jade, and her fiancé, Kevin, suffered a tragic loss when the home they were renting in Dublin, burned to the ground. They were left with just the clothes on their backs. Their 3 dogs and 2 cats perished that night along with everything they had worked so hard for. All the material items could be replaced, but their pets were loved dearly and treated like children.
Not long after, people began donating money, clothes, shoes, jackets, pot and pans and more. These were people we know and also a lot of people we did not know. Kevin and Jade received so much love and support from Peterborough, the surrounding communities, people in Vermont and Massachusetts, that we were in awe.
We have always loved this community and in times like this, it is easy to see why. My wife and I want to thank everyone of you, for all you have done. We greatly appreciate your care and concern and could not have gotten through this devastating ordeal without you. Thank you!
