Appreciative of rescuers
This is an overdue thank you to the Dublin Fire & Rescue and Peterborough Fire & Rescue who came to our house on a Sunday night to be sure our 2-year-old son was OK. Our son has shown care and steadiness going up and down the staircase but accidents happen. On a Sunday night he tripped and fell the entire flight. Mom, recovering from a surgery, was unable to respond quickly.
It would have been too much for dad to handle packing up son and mom into the car to get to the emergency room in a timely manner. Although this incident happened last summer we continue to be so grateful for the men and women who volunteer their time to help the residents of their small towns. It’s such civic involvement that makes living in the Monadnock region the best place to be. Many thanks especially to Karen Horgan, Andy Freeman and Bubba Carpenter who were gave just a little extra of themselves to be sure everyone was OK. Now, however, our son wants to know when the fire trucks are coming back.
