Guitarist performing at library, May 28
Twice Grammy-nominated guitarist and composer Jose Manuel Lezcano will present a concert at the George Holmes Bixby Memorial Library on May 28, at 6:30 p.m.
The program will include a variety of musical styles: Flamenco-inspired pieces by Spanish nationalist composers, Gaucho music from Argentina, European parlor waltzes from Venezuela, Afro-Cuban popular dances, and Afro-Brazilian samba-pagode.
Lezcano plays original Latin-flavored compositions, and has composed four concertos for guitar, both solo and in duo combinations with orchestra accompaniment. He has premiered his works with professional orchestras in New York City, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and New Hampshire.
This is an evening of free music for all family members. The program is sponsored by The New Hampshire Humanities Council.
