Restaurants support the Grapevine with ‘Eat Outs’

The second “Eat Out for The Grapevine” fundraising event inspired by Rick and Diane’s Restaurant in Antrim is underway. The Common Place Eatery, Fiddlehead’s Café and Catering and The Hancock Inn are joining Rick & Diane’s to promote dining out at local restaurants, while supporting The Grapevine during the month of March.

The first “Eat Out” in March 2013 was a success, according to Kristen Vance, executive director of The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center and the participating restaurants.

The restaurants pledge to contribute to The Grapevine 20 percent of gross sales on their designated “Eat Out” day. The public is invited to support The Grapevine by dining out the following days:

Rick and Diane’s on March 7; The Common Place in Bennington from 7 to 11 a.m. on March 16; The Hancock Inn for dinner on March 23; and Fiddlehead’s in Hancock on March 27.

The Grapevine is a nonprofit family and community resource center serving residents of Antrim, Hancock, Bennington, Francestown and nearby towns through a variety of services and programs, including Better Beginnings parent-child program, Better Beginnings for Babies, The Learning Vine Preschool, Avenue A Teen Center, Before and After School Clubs, the People’s Service Exchange, the Community Wood Bank, Senior Wellness, and information and referral to resources for food, shelter, health care, fuel assistance, food stamps and other basic needs.
