Friday, July 26

Assist: At 8:35 p.m., according to police reports, a 2001 Ford Focus caught fire on Gulf Road. The fire had been put out by the time officers arrived. No one was injured.

Thursday, Aug. 1

Arrest: At 8:59 p.m., following a traffic stop on Sawmill Road, police arrested Nicholas McLaughlin, 27, of Hillsborough on an electronic bench warrant from 9th Circuit Court, Milford, charging him with failure to appear. McLaughlin was released, with an order to appear in 9th Circuit Court later in August.

Friday, Aug. 2

Assist: At 9:15 p.m., police assisted rescue workers at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. A 45-year-old patient was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital.

Saturday, Aug. 3

Assist: At 11:35 p.m., police were called to Route 31 in Lyndeborough, where they assisted Lyndeborough police with an arrest.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

Accident: At 4:42 p.m., police went to Forest Road after a 1998 Subaru Forester driven by Patrick St. John, 19, of Hancock hit a 2004 BMW driven by Linda Nickerson, 62, of Greenfield. No one was injured. Both vehicles had minor damage and were driven away.

Thursday, Aug. 22

Arrest: At 9:44 a.m., following a traffic stop on Slip Road, police arrested James Henderson, 63, of Greenfield and charged him with operating after his license had been suspended. Henderson was also arrested on an electronic bench warrant from 5th Circuit Court, Newport, charging him with nonpayment of fines. Henderson was released on $1,000 personal recognizance on the Greenfield charge, with a court date of Oct. 2 in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance on the Newport charge, with a Sept. 24 court date in 5th Circuit Court, Newport.
