Healing arts festival at Community Center

The second annual Grand Monadnock Healing Arts Festival places an emphasizes on energy medicine and takes place at the handicap-accessible Peterborough Community Center, 25 Elm St. on Saturday. This event will bring more than 35 exhibitors from all parts of New England.

Exhibits open at 10 a.m. continuing through 4 p.m. Our professional practitioners and exhibitors will be available to answer questions and demonstrate healing arts of energy medicine. Exhibitors will show original jewelry designs, crystals, essential oils and essences, gifts, fine art, crafts and wearing apparel.

Free seminars will begin at 11 a.m., presenting eight keynote speakers and topics on energy medicine, healthy organic produce, the system of reiki, breathe for health, self-transformation, spiritual healing and optimal health. Featured speakers are keynote speaker Randall Loop of Ohio; Elise Brenner of Massachusetts; Rachel Ginther of New York; Claire McKenna, Richard Smith, Elizabeth Foley, Lisa Jones, and Ruth Clark, all of New Hampshire.

Activities for children include herbal crafts, storytelling and music. A tai chi troupe will perform; there will also be a photography show and musical performances by acoustic guitarists Scott Card and Russell Kiniffin.

A raffle fundraiser will be held and all of the proceeds will go to the Peterborough Food Pantry, which serves area towns. Admission is free.

The Therapeutic Holistic Arts Fusion of Hancock is a group of alternative healing arts practitioners, all of whom will bringing their professional expertise to this festival.
