Cunningham Pond painters featured in exhibit

Paintings by the Cunningham Pond Painters will be on display in the Daniels Room at the Hancock Town Library beginning June 21.

This group show is the work of Sue Callihan of Peterborough and her students. Callihan has been teaching in her studio on Cunningham Pond for six years, and several of her students have been with her since she began teaching.

The group includes Barbara Mahar, Betty Glass, and Gerry Lawson, all of Wilton; Kathleen Calmer of Hancock; Terry Heinzeman of Manchester; and Shelly Osborne, Maude Odgers, and Bob Weathers, all of Peterborough.

The artists’s works are mainly watercolors and oils, and include still life, landscape, and animal studies.

An opening reception is planned for Saturday, June 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The show can be viewed during regular library hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 .p.m; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since the Daniels Room is sometimes reserved for community meetings, it is always best to call the library at 525-4411 before attending an exhibit.

The exhibit will be on display through July 31.
