Fireworks, ice cream social July 6

Hancock’s Independence Day Celebration will be held July 6.

From 6 to 9 p.m., the Hancock Women’s Guild will host an ice cream social at the vestry. This year there will be hot dogs and drinks for sale, too.

From 6 to 7 p.m., ring the Hancock Congregational Church’s Paul Revere bell with bell keeper Bob Fogg.

At 7 p.m., The children of Hancock read the Declaration of Independence aloud.

At 7:30 p.m. Singer-songwriter Wendy Keith will entertain with a musical concert on the Common.

At dusk, fireworks will go off overlooking Norway Pond.

Donations are greatly appreciated. Please send your donations to P.O. Box 6, Hancock, NH 03449, or bring money to donate the night of the fireworks. For more information, call 525-4441.
