Blood drive at fire station

A Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for Sept. 6, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Hancock Fire Department.

There is an urgent need for blood types O-negative, B-negative and A-negative.

Because donated blood must be processed into components, typed and tested, the blood used for today’s emergency must be at the hospital, ready and waiting.

Donors can give blood every eight weeks and new donors are needed daily to replenish supplies.

To make an appointment or for more information, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org.

Walk-ins are welcome.
