Do you have a taste for tagine? Food enthusiasts found out recently at a demonstration of Moroccan cuisine
“The Culinary Delights of Morocco” will be offered at Sunflowers tonight from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Dorry Richmond of Peterborough, founder of Doriti Gelato Inc., a food historian and owner of Doriti Ltd. Catering, will present an array of traditional Moroccan favorites.
Part demonstration, part hands-on, and part tasting, the menu will include: tomato, orange, basil soup; marinated olives; salad of greens with beets and orange segments and fig dressing; entree of lamb tagine with vegetables and apricots’ couscous; Moroccan rice pudding; anise yeast bread; Moroccan mint tea; and a little wine with dinner.
An optional extension of this class in the spring will be a culinary field trip to the Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant in Malden, Mass., and a visit to a Moroccan market.
