A tea class and tasting followed by a full British-styled cream tea will be held at the Benjamin Prescott Inn on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Insight into all things tea will be provided — how it’s grown, where it’s harvested and cultivated and why it matters. Participants will learn the difference between a robust oolong and a delicate white and taste the distinction between tea harvested high in the Himalayas or a green tea grown in Japan.

Following the class, classically trained five-star chefs will provide a full cream tea menu of traditional scones infused with tea and homemade clotted cream and jams as well as not-so-traditional items such as apple cheddar tarts with arugula salad and beef tenderloin carpaccio crustini topped with preserved lemon aoli to go along with tea pairings.

Seating is limited and a $25 payment must be made in advance.
