QUEST program is on for middle schoolers
It’s almost that time again — red shirts are being worn all over town. For the last three years, the red shirts of QUEST have become a familiar sight in Jaffrey and Rindge. The Jaffrey/Rindge Rotary Club sponsors QUEST which began its fourth year on July 7, welcoming the largest number of campers since beginning in 2010.
Eighty-one of Jaffrey/Rindge middle school students will experience a month of fun and learning on the campus of Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.
There is no cost to any student’s family. QUEST is supported by Franklin Pierce University which provides: staff, use of the campus and facilities. Campers, Rotarians and volunteers also enjoy a terrific lunch in the University’s dining hall.
The Jaffrey/Rindge school district provides professional teaching staff and busing to and from Franklin Pierce University.
The Jaffrey/Rindge Rotary Club raises thousands of dollars every year and pays for campers: shirts, hats, backpacks, supplies, lunches and yearbooks.
The campers enjoy everything from academics: math/English to zoom lens in photography class. Sailing, kayaking, art, drumming, acting and many other activities are experienced by the campers, thanks to the generosity of seventy-five Rotarians and dedicated community volunteers.
See a redshirt — wave hello! The campers appreciate recognition and thrive with community support.
QUEST has received The New England Board of Higher Education State Award and also has been highlighted on New Hampshire Chronicle. Young people in many other communities are benefiting from the Jaffrey/Rindge Rotary’s QUEST model.
Costs this year are greater than ever. Please consider supporting our campers with a donation to QUEST.
