Critters at the library

The “Fizz, Boom, Pop!” children’s summer film series at the Jaffrey Public Library will continue on Tuesday, July 15, with a screening of “Totally Tropical Rainforest” at 1:30 p.m.

All ages are welcome to watch and learn about spotted jaguars, colorful poison-arrow frogs, slow-moving sloths, and much more in this National Geographic film. The film is free of charge, and refreshments will be served. No registration is required.

Creature Teachers will be bringing wild animals to the library on Thursday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m. for a program entitled “The Nature of My Backyard.” This program explores the lives of the creatures living in our own backyards and all who come will be able to meet some of the common animals that we encounter near our homes.

This program is for ages 4 and up and registration is required.

Both programs are part of the library’s summer reading program “Fizz, Boom, Read!”

To register for the July 17 program or learn more about the summer programs, call the library at 532-7301.
