Photos sought for fall show

The Jaffrey Civic Center is calling for entries for the annual photography show, which will open Friday, Aug. 22, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.

Anyone who would like to participate in the show can drop off their photograph(s) between Tuesday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 16. Each image must be 36x36-inches maximum and ready to hang with a wire. The entry fee is $25 with a maximum of three photographs accepted.

Each photographer may also submit three non-framed, matted and shrink-wrapped pieces for the floor portfolio. Forms will be available at the center or online at

Courtesy of the Kana Riley Fund we will be presenting First Place for $50, Second Place for $25, and Honorable Mention awards upon the end of the show as a result of the gallery attendance voting.

Civic Center hours are Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays through Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The show will run through Saturday, Sept. 27. Admission is always free.
