Mark’s gospel  telling on Sunday

The Rev. Bert Marshall will present “The Gospel of Mark Alive,” a dynamic, multimedia performance of the Gospel of Mark, at the United Church of Jaffrey on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Marshall will offer a dynamic, multimedia performance of the Gospel of Mark with the entire gospel told from memory. All ages and spiritual traditions are invited to share this event.

Refreshments will be offered and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of Rev. Marshall.

The Rev. Marshall is a native of Weeping Water, Neb., where he has played professionally in a regionally-popular rock ’n’ roll band. A graduate of Yale University Divinity School, he was pastor of the First Congregational Church, UCC, in Lee, Mass. He is now the New England Regional Director of Church World Service, responsible for the international disaster relief and food ministry, notable in this area for the annual Crop Walk.

The event is sponsored by three churches, First Church, UCC in Jaffrey, the First Congregational of Rindge Church, and the United Church of Jaffrey.
