Project Shakespeare offering 2 plays

Project Shakespeare, produced and directed by Deborah Shakespeare Thurber, will be offering productions of two Shakespeare plays in August.

“A Midsummer’s Night Dream” will be performed on the Jaffrey Civic Center lawn on Thursday and Saturday. Both performances are at 6 p.m.

A third performance will take place at ConVal High School on Aug. 8, at 6 p.m.

Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet” will be performed Friday at 6 p.m. on the Civic Center lawn; Saturday at 1 p.m. at the United Church of Jaffrey; Aug. 9, at 6 p.m. at ConVal High School; and Aug. 10, at 6 p.m. at Cathedral of the Pines, Rindge.

Tickets, available at the door, to all performances are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 12 are admitted free.

Two special benefit performances will held to help raise funds to take the students to England. On Aug. 5, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed and “Hamlet” on Aug. 6. Both performances are at 6 p.m. at the Oribe Barn, across the road from the Monadnock Inn.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and free for children under 12. A reception with light refreshments will follow the performances.
