Jaffrey Police Log: Aug. 8, 2013
Friday, Aug. 2
Accident: At 10:15 a.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Main Street. Crystal Shoufler, 35, of Fitzwilliam, who was driving a 2005 Ford pickup, was stopped at a red light on Main Street when her car was allegedly rear-ended by a 2003 Ford Torus, driven by David Liljengeren, 22, of Keene. Liljengeren’s car sustained minor damage. There were no reported injuries.
Accident: At 5:13 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Darcie Drive. Christopher Jaillet, 46, Jaffrey was turning his 2009 Toyota pickup on to Darcie Drive when he reportedly struck a 2000 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Matthew St. Laurent 20, of Jaffrey. Both cars sustained minor to moderate damage, but were driven from the scene. There were no reported injuries.
Saturday, Aug. 3
Arrest: At 1:30 a.m., police received a report of a man passed out behind a dumpster on Peterborough Street. Keith Lecuyer, 42, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug, believed to be marijuana. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a Sept. 5 court date at the 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Must appear: At 9:10 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Turnpike Road. The 17-year-old driver was found to be operating without a license, according to police. The driver’s passenger and owner of the vehicle, Robert Bishop, 26, of Jaffrey, was issued a must appear summons for allowing an improper person to drive. Police said Bishop’s license had been suspended. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
Accident: At 11:20 a.m., police responded to Peterborough Street near Nutting Road for a single-car crash. Meredith Cashman, 21, of Laconia was driving a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Peterborough Street when her vehicle struck a deer. The deer died on scene. The vehicle was towed. There were no reported injuries.
Accident: At 3 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Stratton Road. Angela Beecham, 62, of Jaffrey, who was backing her 1995 Jaguar out of her driveway, allegedly struck a 2009 Honda Odyssey, driven by Jessica Charron, 30, of Jaffrey. Charron was traveling westbound on Stratton Road at the time of the collision. Both cars sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. There were no reported injuries.
Arrest: At 11:29 p.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for defective equipment on Conant Way. A passenger, Jeremy Blouin, 21, of Rindge, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Jaffrey Police Department, charging him with attempt to commit robbery and criminal liability for conduct of another. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance with a Sept. 5 court date.
Monday, Aug. 5
Arrest: At 4 p.m., police received a report of a man who appeared to be intoxicated on the Rails to Trails. Russell Holden, 45, of Jaffrey was taken into protective custody due to his alleged intoxication. He was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections. Holden was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
