Fun at Five  begins Nov. 5

“Fun at Five,” a Cultural Heritage Discussion Group series will be held featuring Three Women of New Hampshire at the Jaffrey Civic Center.

Renowned pianist and women’s scholar, Virginia Eskin will lead an exploration of three women, Willa Cather (1873-1949), primarily known as a writer; Lilla Cabot Perry (1848-1933), known for her paintings; and Amy Beach (1867-1944), a musical composer.

All three women lived in New Hampshire and were informed and inspired by the Granite state. Eskin will draw parallels and comparisons between them.

The series will take place for one hour on successive Tuesdays, Nov. 5, 12 and 19, at 5 p.m. Wine and cheese will be served. All are welcome to come and share any memories or reminiscences.

To register, call or email by Nov. 1 to 532-6527 or jaffreycntr@aol.com.
