Candidate on his bid for N.H. Senate
To the editor:
My name is Lee Nyquist and I want to represent you in the New Hampshire State Senate. I know I have the experience, the ability, and the values to be a passionate advocate for the people of this region and of this state. As a father with children in the New Hampshire public school system, I know how important it is to ensure our schools are fully funded. Protecting and promoting public education in our state will be my first priority. In a world that is constantly changing, we need to make sure our graduates have the skills and knowledge they need to adapt and succeed in the 21st century.
I’ve been the town moderator of New Boston for over 20 years. It’s a position that requires constant dialogue and compromise. I know that listening to all sides, finding common ground, and forging consensus is the most effective path to getting things done. I know I can bring that attitude and coalition-building skill with me to what will almost certainly still be a closely divided Senate. I will be the difference maker who can cut through the partisanship and gridlock to deliver results to the people of the Monadnock valley.
If you allow me to represent you in the State Senate, you can trust that I will bring your values with me to Concord. I will ensure that here in New Hampshire an honest day’s work means an honest day’s pay. I’ll make sure that instead of being subjected to layer upon layer of bureaucracy and red tape, we have a government that works for us. I’ll always put the interests of the people first. I believe I’m the right person to represent the 9th Senate District in Concord, which includes Jaffrey, Lyndeborough, Dublin, Hancock, Greenfield, Sharon, Peterborough and Temple among others, and that’s why I ask for your vote.
