Police logs — Mason, Jan. 10, 2013

Suspicious person: At 6:50 a.m., police checked on a 2006 Hyundai Elantra that had been parked at Pratt Pond for the past three mornings. The owner of the vehicle told police he had been sleeping in his car. Police informed the man that a storm was pending, and he should find a safer place to stay.
Suspicious vehicle: At 10:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle parked on the side of Black Brook Road for several days. Upon arriving, police discovered three people pushing the vehicle further onto the shoulder of the road. The vehicle had broken down several days ago, and arrangements were being made to have it towed.
Saturday, Dec. 29
Road hazard: At 8:38 p.m., a Mason Department of Public Works plow employee reported Richard Portier had been driving his 2006 Chevy Colorado on Morse Road near the Valley Road intersection when he had gone off-road and become stuck in a ditch. The vehicle was freed with the assistance of a friend of Portier’s.
Assist: At 4:40 p.m., police responded to 130 Nutting Hill to assist with a man in need of ambulance transportation to Nashua Hospital.
