Sunday, Sept. 1

Citizen assist: At 1:05 a.m., police assisted a stranded motorist, following a concert at the driving range on Route 124 when a resident informed police his car was disabled in the parking lot of an adjacent business. The driver made plans to have it removed in the morning.

Assault report: At 1:10 a.m., while on a detail for a concert at Marty’s Driving Range and Ice Cream, police were advised of a possible fight in progress inside the venue. Police responded but were unable to identify the combatants. Police canvassed the crowd but were unsuccessful in gaining any useful information. Police remained inside the event grounds for a time to provide security.

OHRV Complaint: At 1:33 p.m., police were advised of an OHRV operating on Abbott Hill Road onto private land and returning to Abbott Hill Road. Police advised the driver, who was visiting from Massachusetts, of state OHRV laws.

Saturday, Sept. 7

Found property: At 5:30 p.m., police recovered a school traffic sign at the Pratt Pond Wayside area that had been vandalized with spray-paint. The sign did not belong to the town of Mason. Police turned the sign over to the Mason Highway Department.

Monday, Sept. 9

Theft: At 4:20 p.m., police took a report that two large wooden bear carvings had been removed from the front lawn area of a Wilton Road residence, taken at some point between Sept. 2 and Sept. 9. The approximate value of the carvings is $400.

Thursday, Sept. 12

Suspicious vehicle: At 12:18 p.m., police received a report of a white middle-aged man with short grey hair and glasses, driving a gray Ford Ranger with Massachusetts plates, driving very slowly up Sand Pit Road. Police checked the area and did not find the vehicle.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Road hazard: At 7:40 p.m., a Blueberry Lane resident reported a tractor-trailer unit blocking his driveway. The driver and vehicle had become stuck while trying to turn around. A towing company assisted with removing the tractor-trailer and getting it back on the road.

Monday, Sept. 23

Arrest: At 4:35 p.m., police arrested Christine Iodice, 18, of Mason on a warrant for theft. Iodice was released on personal recognizance and issued a court date of Nov. 18 at the Milford District Court.

Theft: At 7:30 p.m., an Abbott Hill Road resident reported theft of gasoline from several gas cans in plain view in his driveway between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. The resident noticed the theft when he noticed a gasoline spill in his driveway. Approximately 15 gallons of gasoline was taken. Police have no suspects at this time.
