Mason police logs: Oct. 10, 2013
Arrest: At 4:36 p.m., police were notified of a single car crash on Meetinghouse Hill Road. Nicholas J. Desimone of Ashburnham, Mass. has crashed his vehicle into a stone wall. Following the accident, Desimone was treated for his injuries at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. Police arrested Desimone and charged him with DWI. Desimone was released with a summons to appear in the 9th District Court, Milford on Oct. 7.
Theft: At 10:30 a.m., a Townsend Road resident reported that a check he had put into his mailbox to Public Service of New Hampshire was stolen from his mailbox before the mailman picked up his mail in the morning. The check was taken at some point between 9 p.m. and 10:15 a.m.
Arrest: At 9:27 p.m., police arrested Jesse Harbeck, 26, of Greenville and charged him with possession of a controlled drug believed to be heroin, possession of a controlled drug believed to be crack cocaine, transportation of a controlled drug believed to be heroin and transportation of a controlled drug believed to be crack cocaine. Harbeck was released on personal recognizance bail with an arraignment date of Nov. 18 at the 9th District Court, Milford.
Animal complaint: At 10:13 p.m., police received a call from a Brookline police officer that he had picked up a stray, white Great Dane earlier in the day. The animal had been brought to Brookline Animal Hospital for treatment as it appeared to be in poor health and possibly neglected. Brookline police had received a report the dog may belong to a resident of Sand Pit Road in Mason. Mason police located the owner, who advised the dog had gotten out over a week ago with another one of his dogs. The other dog had returned after being gone for two days. The owner stated the Great Dane was old and had health issues. Police examined the two dogs that were in the home, who both appeared healthy, and advised the owner of his dog’s location.
