Lions to hold winter clothing drive

The Greenville Lioness’ Club and the Souhegan Lions, serving the towns of Greenville, Mason, Temple and New Ipswich, are having a joint clothing drive to help citizens keep warm this winter.

They are collecting new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, blankets, boots, socks and snow pants for distribution to needy area children and families.

The following are drop-off points for the towns: Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, Greenville Post Office; Mason Library; in New Ipswich, Nennies, TD Bank, Trustees’ Service; Temple Library.

The items will be available for distribution and/or pickup on Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in conjunction with the Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket distribution. To obtain further information on how you or your family can receive donated items, call either Claudette Parmenter of the Lioness’ at 291-0284 or Brenda Salmonson of the Lions at 547-526.
