Mason police logs: Nov. 7, 2013
Saturday, Oct. 26
Public relations: At 10 a.m., police assisted the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency with a prescription medication take back program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 2:05 p.m., the medication collected from the drug take back program was transported to the Peterborough Police Department for destruction.
Arrest: At 9 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle related to a suspicious vehicle complaint. Police arrested Shane Malouf-Pieterse, 19 of Mason and a 17-year-old Mason girl and charged them both with possession of controlled drugs. Both were released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and issued a court date of Nov. 8 at the District Court, Milford.
Sunday, Oct. 27
Criminal mischief: At 12:15 p.m., police were informed that the Mason Ball Field Concession Stand door was open. Upon inspection, it appeared the door was forced open, probably by a foot impacting against the door. The dead-bolt lock had failed and was laying on the concession stand floor. Police were unable to determine if a theft had occurred. There was no other damage observed. Police contacted the head of the Mason Recreation Department about the incident.
Monday, Oct. 28
Alarm: At 4:12, police responded to Valley Road for an alarm activation. The building was secure.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
Motor vehicle accident: At 7:14 p.m., Richard Lacroix, 40 of Greenville drove off the roadway to avoid a deer in the road. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle was removed by tow truck.
