Mascenic student earns first-place medal

Mascenic High School sent three students to the New Hampshire DECA 56th Annual Career Development Conference which was held Feb. 13-15 at the Radisson Manchester Hotel.

Freshman Nicholas Smith won a first-place medal in the Restaurant and Food Service Marketing Role-Play Event, which had 12 other competitors from around the state in the category.

This is Mascenic’s second year in DECA and the first year attending the conference. The chapter has a membership of seven students, three of which attended this year’s conference.

Benjamen Allison and Gianna Cialdea participated with Smith in three areas: Business Administration, Human Resource Management, and Restaurant & Food Service Marketing.

The students were accompanied by Cullen Madden, a former national collegiate DECA officer and the students’ teacher and advisor.
