NEW IPSWICH — A two-alarm house fire at 127 Old Tenney Rd. early this morning, Thursday, has left a home for sale uninhabitable, according to Deputy Fire Chief Gary Somero.

At about 5 a.m., a passerby called in a fire at the house, which was empty at the time. The home is currently owned by RE/MAX Town Square, a New Ipswich real estate business. The property was set to be signed over to new owners next week, said Somero. The house is still standing, but was gutted by the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The fire is under investigation by the New Ipswich Fire Department, New Ipswich Police Department and the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
