Local help for navigating health insurance marketplace
Most people living and working in the U.S. must have health coverage in 2014. There will be a Certified Marketplace Assister from Monadnock ServiceLink available to assist consumers enroll in Qualified Health Plans at The River Center in Peterborough, NH. Appointments can be made by calling Monadnock Service Link at 603-357-1922.
Residents who have Medicare, a job-based plan, a plan you bought yourself, COBRA, retiree coverage, TRICARE, or VA Health Coverage are already covered. Most N.H. Medicaid beneficiaries are also covered. Those who are current N.H. Medicaid beneficiary and have questions about coverage and the transition to N.H. Medicaid Care Management, contact N.H. Department of Health and Human Services at their MCM Enrollment Call Center at 1-888-901-4999.
If you are uninsured or want to compare plans, the following options are available to help you: Visit www.healthcare.gov to compare plans and/or enroll on-line; complete and submit a paper application, available for download at www.healthcare.gov. If you cannot download a paper application, pick one up from one of sites listed below; call 1-800-318-2596, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to talk to an enrollment specialist; or contact a certified marketplace assister at The River Center for assistance enrolling in a Qualified Health Plan through the Marketplace. Before going on-line to enroll or meeting with a certified navigators, assisters or counselors gather the following information: Social Security Numbers or legal immigrant document numbers, employer and income information, policy numbers for any current health insurance plans, a completed employer coverage tool, available on-line or for pick up from a collaborating organization, and, if available, 2012 tax return information.
