Healthy Start 5K to benefit HCS program
The Second Annual Healthy Start 5K to benefit the Maternal and Child Health Program at Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services will be held on June 14 at 8:30 a.m.
The race and walking events will start and finish at HCS’s 312 Marlboro St. office in Keene, featuring a fast, flat course around the HCS neighborhood. Families, strollers and baby carriages are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in all age categories.
The Maternal and Child Health Program at HCS strives to improve access to prenatal care, parenting education and safety-net services for low-income women, and provides well-child checkups to qualifying children from birth to age 18. The service is available throughout southwestern New Hampshire.
Major funding for the Healthy Start 5K is provided by Markem-Imaje, with additional support from C&S Wholesale Grocers and Connecticut River Bank.
