Tuesday, March 12
Runaway: At 4:22 p.m., a resident reported that her 15-year-old daughter jumped out of her vehicle in downtown Peterborough and ran off. Police located the girl at a residence and she was returned home.
Wednesday, March 13
Accident: At 7:35 a.m., police said, Donald P. Rabidou, 61, of Rindge, driving a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck, failed to yield at a stop sign on Nashua Road in Sharon, due to sun in his eyes. His truck crossed onto Route 123 and was hit by a southbound 2011 Kia Sorrento, driven by Fernando A. Moniz, 62, of Hillsborough. Rabidou’s truck was pushed across the road and into a snowbank. Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed. Neither driver was injured.
Friday, March 15
Arrest: At 3:50 a.m., after getting a report of a car being driven erratically on Route 101, police located the vehicle and observed several lane violations. Police stopped the 2007 Ford Fusion and arrested the driver, Heather Girouard, 38, of Jaffrey. She was charged with DWI. Girouard was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with an April 1 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Accident: At 5:28 p.m., police said, Rickey Kennett, 58, of Greenfield, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, accidently stepped on the gas pedal rather than the brake while at the gas pumps at the Big Apple convenience store on Route 101. The pickup moved forward and collided with a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by a Charlene Forsten, 64, of Hancock. The truck had no damage. The Prius had rear bumper damage. Both vehicles were driven away.
Juvenile complaint: At 7:36 p.m., police went to South Meadow School after a teacher reported that a boy who had been asked to leave a dance had tried to intimidate her and slammed the door as he left on foot. Police checked the area but could not locate the boy.
Accident: At 10:05 p.m., Dylan Belmore, 18, of Peterborough lost control of his 1999 Subaru Impreza on Southfield Lane and hit a 2000 Kia Sportage, driven by Ashley M. Thompson, 23, of Peterborough. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage but were driven away. No one was injured, according to police reports.
Saturday, March 16
Shoplifting report: At 2:22 p.m., police went to a Wilton Road business after getting a report that a woman had walked out with five or six shirts, and a man with her had taken two hats and three or four shirts. The couple had two children with them and may have left in a black Ford pickup truck. Police are investigating.
Domestic issue: At 10:22 p.m., police went to Riverview Apartments and spoke to neighbors who had allegedly been yelling at each other.
Sunday, March 17
Arrest: At 12:45 p.m., police arrested Adam Granquist Kane, 31, of Peterborough on a warrant charging him with theft. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with an April 22 court date.
Burglary report: At 3 p.m., a Greenfield Road woman told police that while she was away, someone had come into her residence and taken $200 from her bedroom. She said boxes in the basement had also been opened and moved around.
Loose animals: At 10:27 p.m., police got a report of a bull loose on Greenfield Road near Sunnyfield Farm. Police located several loose animals in the driveway and notified the caretakers. All the animals were moved into a fenced-in area and accounted for.
