Hospital gallery  has 1st anniversary

The Healing Arts Gallery at Monadnock Community Hospital will celebrate its one-year anniversary in July. Since opening, the gallery has featured rotating works by dozens of acclaimed artists from throughout the Monadnock region.

The current show, “Transformations,” runs through Aug. 9 and features works contributed by MCH employees and volunteers. Original art is available for sale, with a percent of proceeds charitably donated to MCH for the ongoing support of future healing art initiatives.

The gallery is easy to access, located in a connecting hallway adjacent to the Sarah Hogate Bacon Emergency Services Department. In this area is also displayed the Park Theatre’s Fifth Mountain Mural.

Artists interested in submitting work for consideration for future exhibitions are encouraged to contact LeeAnn Clark in the Community Relations and Philanthropy Office at 924-1700 or leeann.clark@mchmail.org. Interested artists will be informed of future events. All work submitted for consideration should have the potential to calm and inspire, and be conducive to healing.
