Fire investigator promoted to state position

Keith Rodenhiser of Peterborough, who has been a fire investigator with the N.H. State Fire Marshal’s Office covering the Monadnock region for 12 years, has a new job.

On Oct. 4, Rodenhiser was promoted to the position of deputy state fire marshal/district chief in the Fire Marshal’s Office.

As a supervisor in the Bureau of Investigations, Rodenhiser will be planning, directing, and participating in the work of both sworn fire investigators and fire inspectors statewide. He will have direct oversight for Grafton, Sullivan, Merrimack, Cheshire and Hillsborough counties, dealing with both criminal and noncriminal code enforcement cases.

Rodenhiser’s new position will be based in Concord.

In an email to the Ledger-Transcript, Rodenhiser said a hiring process is under way to recruit a replacement investigator for the Cheshire and Hillsborough county area that he previously covered.

Rodenhiser is also a deputy chief in the Peterborough Fire and Rescue Department.

He said he would be continuing in that role, “at least for the foreseeable future.”
