For the remainder of the year, it’s the latest generation’s chance to shine at the Sharon Arts Gallery.

“Coming of Age: New England Artists Under 30” is a show the gallery first premiered last year, showcasing artists in their teens and 20s. The gallery is continuing the trend this year, with it’s “2nd Annual Under 30” show. The work ranges from sculptural to sketches and paintings — the only requirements being age and that the artist resides in New England.

“The second edition of the Coming of Age exhibition attracted high-quality submissions from a variety of media,” Sharon Arts Exhibition Organizer and Assistant Gallery Manager Kate Lenahan is quoted as saying in a press release issued by the gallery.

Lenahan, a Peterborough resident, along with organizing the show, also has two pieces exhibited in it. Her works, along with others from artists around New England, were juried and chosen for the show by Michael Carroll of the Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, Mass. The exhibit will run through Dec. 28. For more information, call the Gallery at 924-7676.
