Knowledge shared at retirement event

The River Center: A Family and Community Resource Center, would like to thank the following panel members who generously shared their programs, expertise, and insights with us at the “Surviving Retirement” presentation at The River Center on Nov. 19th: Peter Moore, Program Coordinator of RSVP Volunteer Services; Heather Jasmin, Program Coordinator of Cheshire Academy of Lifelong Learning; Owen Houghton, Wellness Educator and Sentinel “Age-Wise” columnist; Audrey White, Health Care Administrator and Governance and active volunteer; Glen Fukuda, Personal Trainer at Performance Health & Fitness; and Sean Flemming, Senior Staff Therapist at MAPS Counseling Services.
The evening’s panel of experts, through their professional and personal experience, shared many of the successes, joys, challenges, and responsibilities inherent in the aging and retirement process. “Surviving Retirement” was the first in a series of presentations hosted by The River Center entitled “Evenings with the Experts,” a series of free presentations on topics of importance to our community.
