Woman’s Club offering scholarships for seniors
The Rindge Woman’s Club is offering three $1,000 college scholarships to graduating Rindge high school seniors for the upcoming 2014-2015 academic year.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and merit, and may be used for an accredited program at either a two- or four-year college, or at a technical school. Applications can be obtained at the Conant High School Guidance Office, by calling Sarah Dengler at 899-6870, or by sending an email to email@example.com.
The application deadline is May 1 for direct submissions and April 15 for applications submitted via the Conant Guidance Department.
The Rindge Woman’s Club is both a social and charitable organization; members enjoy monthly meetings from September to May with a featured speaker and social time, and raise money for cultural, civic, and charitable projects in Rindge.
The Harvest Fair in October is the club’s major fundraiser. The group also sponsors the Earth Day Road Side Cleanup and plantings for town buildings and the Mothers’ Garden at the Cathedral of the Pines. Meetings are held on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Town Meeting House, and all Rindge women are welcome.
