DI Team gets chamber donation

The Jaffrey-Rindge Destination Imagination Program received a check for $250 from the Rindge Chamber of Commerce.

The check was presented to Mariah Maki, Conant High School senior for Destination Imagination’s graduating ceremony at the Global Finals, and Program Coach Lori Connolly by Monika Diab, treasurer of the Rindge Chamber. The presentation took place at the Jaffrey and Rindge chambers education breakfast held at Conant High School on May 14.

The donation will help support a Destination Imagination team to travel to Tennessee to compete in the Global Finals.

Destination Imagination teaches life skills to students from grade school through high school in a team setting; participants learn how to solve problems with perseverance and ingenuity. The Jaffrey-Rindge school district had five competition teams this year and one non-competitive team.

The Conant High School Destination Imagination team qualified to compete in the program’s Global Finals Tournament at the University of Tennessee at the end of the May. The Global Finals Competition offers an opportunity to celebrate creativity and individuality, while also recognizing team work.
