Deliberative session for budget is Tuesday

The town of Rindge will hold its deliberative session at the Rindge Memorial School on Tuesday, where voters will have an opportunity to weigh in on the proposed 2013 operating budget of $3,707,000.

Rindge must then wait at least 28 days before voters cast their ballots at a Special Town Meeting that is slated for July 30 at the elementary school, beginning at 7 a.m.

In early June, the Cheshire County Superior Court granted Rindge’s request for a Special Town Meeting to implement a 12-month budget. The town filed its request with the court after voters chose to rescind a 2012 vote at the polls in March that would have changed the town’s fiscal year with a one-time 18-month budget.

The deliberative session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
