Young dancers hold car wash

This July, the competition team of The Dance Center in Winchendon, Mass., will be attending Nationals in New York City at the New York City Dance Alliance event. The team, which includes a dancer from Rindge, will be performing 22 pieces from their season.

In addition to performing in the competition, the team will be participating in a four-day workshop and taking classes with top master teachers and choreographers of the dance industry. The team has been busy planning fundraising to help support the cost of their trip. On Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the team will offer a car wash at Advance Auto Parts in Gardner, Mass., at 270 Main St. next to Rite Aid and CVS. The cost is $5 per car and all proceeds will go to The Dance Center’s National Team.
