FPU trustee president of college in N.J.

Franklin Pierce University Board of Trustees member Helen J. Streubert was named president of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J. on July 1. Dr. Streubert is the first lay president in the College’s 114-year history. Previously, Streubert was the vice president of academic affairs at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.

Streubert has served in many roles in higher education: professor, department chair and associate vice president of academic affairs. She is recognized both nationally and internationally for her textbook, “Qualitative Research in Nursing: Advancing the Humanistic Imperative.”

“I am thrilled to be the president of St. Elizabeth,” Streubert says, “and I am eternally grateful to the members of the Franklin Pierce Board for their work with me over the past three years. I feel certain that it is partly because of my work on the board that I have some of the knowledge experience, and skills that I do.”
