Harvest Fair was huge success

To the editor:

I’d like to thank all the women of the Rindge Woman’s Club who worked tirelessly to make this year’s Harvest Fair an outstanding success. To the chairs of the many committees, in no particular order, Evelyn Lewis, Pat Martin, Annie Maher, Cynthia Childs, Janet Kohlmorgen, Marie Powley-Quinlan, Linda Pickering, Shirley Burt, Marla Taylor, Laura Henrikson, Linda Tower, Susan Casey, Sharon Rasku, Ronalee Hietala, Jan Lashua and Paula Sumner, thank you so much for coordinating your talented and hardworking members. Their creativity and dedication made my job much easier and the fair itself fun and productive.

I’d also like to thank the many individuals, businesses, and organizations in our community who contributed money, products and services for our Basket Raffle. We could not have achieved what we did without their willingness to support our efforts so graciously. Thanks also to the Rindge Police and Fire Departments for providing a safe and secure environment.

Finally, I want to thank all the residents of Rindge and other towns who came and ate a delicious lunch, bought homemade baked goods and handmade crafts, and enjoyed music provided by guitarist Tim Cardiello and our own Jaffrey-Rindge students and a Zumba session with Tiffany Reeves. To the countless family members and friends who were there, behind the scenes, lending moral support and a helping hand, thank you, too.

The money raised by the Rindge Woman’s Club goes back to our town in the form of scholarships, as well as grants to the Ingalls Library Summer Reading Program, Scouts, Project Quest, recreation programs, Food Pantry, veterans, and other groups in town that do so much to make this community special.

If I have omitted your name or your group, please forgive me. So many have helped that it is difficult to remember everyone. See you next year at the 41st Harvest Fair.

Roberta Gordenstein

Rindge Harvest Fair Chair
