Comedy night benefiting Santa’s House
A Comedy Night to benefit Santa’s House will be held at the Woodbound Inn on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Two opening acts, Mike “Mack” McKenna and Karen Fitzgerald, will set the stage for headliner Chris Tabb.
Tabb’s television appearances include NESN Comedy All Stars, BET’s Comic View and the Food Network’s Cake Challenge in addition to performances throughout the United States and overseas for our troops. He’s been described as having “endless energy, wit and stage presence.”
The Fire and Iron Station 911 Motorcycle Club is sponsoring Comedy Night, with proceeds benefiting Santa’s House, a nonprofit organization helping to bring a happy Christmas to needy Jaffrey children.
Last year, 240 children in 99 families had a joyous holiday, thanks to the generosity and support of the community and clubs like Fire and Iron.
Members of Fire and Iron Station 911 are firefighters and EMS from Cheshire and Hillsborough counties who are motorcycle enthusiasts and who have an interest in helping families and organizations focusing on the needs of children.
A silent auction, including a Red Sox baseball, autographed by World Series catcher David Ross, a brand-new Old Town kayak complete with paddle and life vest, wood pellets from New England Wood Pellets, is planned.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce and TD Bank in Jaffrey, or by contacting Bob Areias, vice president of Fire & Iron Station 911, at 831-0594 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
