Head of School Mary Halpin Carter is pleased to announce that the following students from the Monadnock area graduated from The Derryfield School in the Class of 2014 at Commencement Exercises in June:

Jack St. Jean, son of James and Cynthia St. Jean of Francestown, graduated from The Derryfield School in June and will be attending Villanova University in the fall where he plans to major in business. A skilled athlete, Jack was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years, and was named a NH Athletic Directors’ Association Scholar Athlete his senior year. He also spent time on both the swimming and tennis teams. Senior year, Jack was a member of the Model UN group, an admission tour guide and was the treasurer the Key Club, in international service group.

Colby Goodrich, son of Scott and Helle Goodrich of Hancock, graduated from The Derryfield School in June, and will be attending Montana State University this fall. Ever the athlete, Colby participated in a number of sports during his high school career, including three years on the lacrosse team, two on the soccer team and one year as a member of the spring and fall crew teams. The highlight of his athletic career, though would have to be his four years on the varsity alpine ski team, where he qualified for the State Championships in both his junior and senior years. He was rewarded for all of his athletic efforts with membership in The Derryfield School Athletics Top Ten Club.

Caroline Hope Manns, daughter of Andrew and Emily Manns of Peterborough, graduated with distinction from The Derryfield School in June, and will be attending Trinity College in the fall. A member of the National Honor Society, Caroline also spent her time at Derryfield involved in athletics; she studied dance independently for four years and was on the golf team for three years.

In her senior year, Caroline was a part of the Anti-Defamation League/World of Difference Peer Training and the Gay Straight Alliance. Caroline also participated in the Chinese Culture Club, was a social media ambassador and a writing fellow for both her junior and senior years.
